about me

I am a healer, an acupuncturist and a body worker. I tune people's bodies and help them restore their balance of health, body and mind.

I have come to healing through music, martial arts and years of working in piano tuning and restoration. My accumulated experience and studies have led me to create a unique blend of therapies and healing techniques which amount to what I call "Human Tuning and Re-Balancing".

Tuning a piano is an art of balancing 264 notes into one fine musical instrument. The theory behind tuning a piano is simple and can be learned in a short time. It takes many years of practice, however, to master the actual trade.

Tuning a human body is a bit more complicated then that, but the principle is pretty much the same. The body structure, the age, the mind, the emotions, old patterns of behavior resulting from a past traumatic experience, all have to be considered in the process of healing and maintaining a fine balance of health.

Although I use a wide array of techniques in the sessions, at the end of the day I believe that a sharp mind, together with an open heart and a skilled hand are the main tools needed for the true healing to occur, whether it be a broken leg or a broken heart, the same principle will follow.

where I'm from

I was born in South Africa and raised in Israel. I have served my compulsory army service as a medic in a special unit for 3 years. Soon after my release from the army I started studying Musicology at the University of Jerusalem.

After my studies I lived in Europe for some years, where I worked as a carpenter and practiced the art of flying trapeze in a traveling circus. When I returned to Israel I worked as an apprentice at a piano tuning and restoration atelier, where I learned the craft from a dear friend and teacher.

My interest in the body arts led me to Tai Chi and Chi Gong. I practiced Tai Chi in the Wang Shu Chin style and became a certified instructor by the Wingate Institute of Sports in Israel. 15 years later I still find this practice vital to my understanding of the Tibetan and Chinese medicine theories and their outlook on the flow of energy in the human body (The Meridians).

Tai Chi led me to 4 years of Tibetan medicine studies in Israel ("Maase harefua"), India and Tibet and then onto studying Chinese acupuncture (TCM and stems and branches), and to practicing and teaching those arts for 12 years in different parts of the world.

My family and I currently share our time between Goa, India and Ein-Hod, Israel.
