Pathologies
Tibetan and Chinese medicine treat a very wide spectrum of pathologies through a holistic approach. In the last few years I have specialized in:
1. Resolving long term muscular and skeleton problems.
2. Assisting the body in recovering from illnesses and accidents.
3. Sport injuries, injuries due to intensive yoga exercise.
4. Exhaustion and depression.
5. Stress and anxiety problems.
6. Menstrual problems, menopause, PMS, hormonal imbalance, amenorrhea, dismenorrhea, fibroid and cysts.
7. Ante natal / preparation for birth treatments.
8. Endocrine system disorders: hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, diabetes.
9. Male and female reproductive function disorders.
10. Lung disorders, asthma, emphysema. breathing difficulties.
11. Rheumatism, rheumatic arthritis.
12. Kidney disorders, kidney stones, bladder infections.
13. Headaches, migraines, insomnia.
Here are a few examples of the cases I have treated:
1. Neck pain, sciatica, shoulder pain.
After being diagnosed with a degeneration of the cervical vertebrae and their discs, K. underwent a new operation to replace her disc between c3-c4. The pain in the shoulder did not diminish and by the time she arrived at my clinic she was hardly walking, suffering from a shooting pain down her left leg on top of it all.
On scanning her body, I noticed a change in the bone structure of her right toe which was influencing her whole posture, and therefore causing extra pressure on her lower back and neck. I started by treating the toe inflammation and continued from there to attend to the lower back and neck. It took three sessions to resolve the sciatica and shoulder problem and two more to loosen and elongate her neck.
2. Emphysema and cupping.
I was called in to see what could be done to ease Shlomo's pain. He was a 78-year-old smoker on his death bed, connected to an oxygen supply as he could hardly breathe. His lungs were in a bad state, suffering from emphysema in its final stages. It seemed there was not much that could be done. I used cupping on his back behind his lungs and in a few seconds he forgot about his oxygen mask and was joking with his family sitting around his bed. Later on he whispered in my ear, "I think I'm going to last through the night". He lived on for another half a year.
This is one of my favorite cases to tell, and a good illustration of the power of cupping and old traditional methods.
